In June 2015, V.M.B., in affiliation with Prison Fellowship International, sent a team of five people to Malawi and Rwanda for a mission trip.

 

In Malawi, VMB concentrated on instructing residents of a halfway house (a home for the reintegration of prisoners into society) in making hygiene products such as toothpaste and bar/laundry soap to provide a viable way of earning a living, post rehabilitation.  They also helped construct shelving in a local library.

 

Later in Rwanda, the focus was on children of prisoners in the reconciliation villages where offenders and victims live as neighbors, as well as the children who are forced to live inside the prison with their mothers while they carry out their sentences.  They provided much needed food, shoes, and clothing and most importantly, shared the love of Christ as He commanded his followers to do.
